First Apple Store Opens Up In Afghanistan, More To Follow

Seems like the whole world is talking Apple and its products. With WWDC 2013 announced and scheduled for June '2013, Apple is reportedly showing interest in countries deprived of much needed technology innovations, including Afghanistan. Apple has finally opened up the first ever Apple Store in Afghanistan, as shown in the image below. The country has been demanding an Apple Store for ages now, and with the demand rising, you can already see fake Apple Stores opening up in China, as seen last year.

Well, finally Afghanistan gets hold over its first Apple Store, and it is being said that the owner is able to move a few laptops and iPhones here and there everyday. The store definitely lacks the glow and whistles of an Apple Store we can see in other places, but as long as its selling products, there are chances that many other stores will open up in Afghanistan in the near future.

Located in the country’s largest shopping mall in Kabul, the store gets its stock at retail cost from Dubai. That stock is then sold to Afghan residents wishing to get in on the Apple goodness at just above US retail cost, which means enough profit for the store to trade. Though the Apple products don't come cheap there as well, the owner has made sure that all Apple products are available at the store. I am glad that Afghanistan finally has its own Apple store. It's the most anticipated time of the year, when technology giants all over the world look up to releasing newest and best in technology, both in terms of hardware and software. It's summer of 2013, and Apple is all set to conduct its well known media event, WWDC 2013 which has been confirmed to take place during June 10-14 '2013. The WWDC, which stands for World Wide Developer Conference is Apple's most important media event since it marks the launch of upcoming iDevices or iOS, this time it being iOS 7 and OS X 10.9

While it cannot be said as of now if Apple will be coming up with a new hardware as well in this event, but the release of iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 Beta has been confirmed by sources close to the Cupertino based tech. giant. The event is popular among Apple developers, and gives thousands of them a good chance to learn more about two of the best platforms offered by Apple.
The tickets for the same will be available for sale starting tomorrow, i.e April 25 '2013 10:00 PDT, and in case you wish to attend this event, you should hurry up as the tickets are usually sold out in the initial hours, as seen in the past few years.
Today’s announcement will have the tech world sniffing around for any clues pertaining to what might and what will be revealed on the week commencing June 10th. I am certainly expecting Apple to unveil some revolutionary features with its iOS 7 update, as it's the most important platform when it comes to mobile phones from Apple.

Facebook App For iPhone Gets An Update- Comes With Chat Heads

It's been a while since the social media giant-Facebook released an update for its official app for iOS, making all iDevice users wait for eye-catching features introduced in the Facebook app for Android. Well, if you are an iDevice user, which includes iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you would be more than happy to know that Facebook has finally come up with an update for its native iOS app, bringing the much anticipated chat head feature to iDevices.

What got released a month back along with an app update for Android users, chat heads bring an all new messaging experience to the official Facebook app for iPhone. Now, you don't really need the other official Messenger app for your device, as the update tends to integrate Facebook messaging functionality, along with Facebook interface app.
Apart from chat heads, the new app changes whole layout of news feed, and scrolling through the feed is more responsive than ever. The features were available for Android users under the app named Facebook Home for a while now, and bringing most of them to iOS was just the right step Facebook needed to take.
But that's not the only change coming to the iOS apps. Facebook has redesigned the app, adding some new navigation elements across the bottom of the app and adding a sticker capability, which allows you to place different icons and stickers in a chat. You can also filter your Newsfeed so that you see only photos and lists of specific friends.
I personally liked the whole new interface. If you are an iOS user, you can update the Facebook app right away from the iTunes App Store. Let me know your views on this wonderful app via the comments section below.!
